I spent the evening catching up on Cinematography tips on youtube... OTL

I searched a few, and I think this guy knows what he's talking about. I tend to gravitate toward calm, serious technicians in searching up tutorials, while not the most charismatic to listen to, they surely know their stuff.

Now I know what is key light, kicker lights, fill lights, background lights, film noir lighting, gel and color, at least I know some basics.
