practices

Tween practice from this source: http://ultimateirongiant.com/model/model.php

Part 1, rough version 1.
Crit welcome.

Self-crit:

His hand is turning too fast.
Might need another bite but not sure about it.
Need to figure out on how to take out his fingers.

Doing drawings directed by Brad Bird is really something else, one can tell the draftsmanship is on another level.

There's so much going on with this small movement, I was intimidated to dive in, but its not like he's watching me from my back, I will just need to do the trial and error until i get this right.

Need to watch Iron Giant again.

I want to see Iron Giant 2 dang it.

Study list: (study once every week or every other week)

Calarts (disney style)
Tom and Jerry classics style

Local studios- World Leaders, Little Airplane

Cartoon network, UPA style, extremely exaggrated style

Animate decently in 3D

Hey! I'm 15 and animation is basically what I want to do. I've just been looking through your blog and I think your animation and drawings are great. I was wondering if I could ask you a few questions about animation and things.
1) How did you get into animation and what did you do at college/univeristy for animation
2) Do you work for any particular company or do are you freelance?
3) What path do you suggest I take in order to fufill my dream?
4) Kind of silly question, but what type of pen or pencil should I use for character drawing and animation, I'm really lost when it comes to that.
My ultimate dream is to work for pixar, and thats what I'm aiming for at the moment. Could you give me any tips for that? Thanks for taking the time to read my comment, hope all goes well with your animation.
