Flying out of Japan into Taiwan

The 3 days went fast in Japan.

Japan seriously has the best toilets and bathrooms. XDDD What a clean country.

It's also fairly quiet for a city... with the exception of a few streets. Its probably the cleanest city i have visited other than Singapore. Tongue

I got to see the almost finished Gundam in its place. My otaku dream fullfilled. XDDD

Now i am in Taiwan but i am very tired, i will share more once i have time and strength to do it. I will be in Taiwan for a english camp, so i will be kept busy for two weeks. I hope i can meet up with Tikal and Shufan, my two close friends in Taiwan.

到台湾了,日本真的是很有秩序又干净的地方. 马桶卫生是我看过最高级的了~XD

An excellent book.

Five Dysfunctions of a Team

After reading this, i realized what i was doing wrong with working in the HeavyCat team, and what i need to continue to build for my own, and it encouraged me to be more honest, for the good of myself, others, and team.
I am convinced I can't let the problems i see in a team slide before me anymore.

This book is told in a fable story form, with extremely short chapters, big text friendly for reading even for the most unwilling reader. To present problems and the model in a simple and yet powerful way, the writing is.... surprisingly good for fiction. It felt like a film script, where i can see the actors faces even with minimum description. Each character follows their own thought, holding surprise elements that are within their personality.

I am buying this for Eric's B-day. :D

AnimeNext 09

Simple conclusion: Animation is power. XD

Edepth books sold 50% faster when my animation is on display, i can also have a reason to be more proud of my series when a good animation back me up.

California Clipper, her sis, Lossingfeathers, and another 2 of her friends crashed with me these 3 days, it was a wonderful experience. Seeing these new con-goers so excited about selling at artist alley and the con itself helps me too. :)

My panel went well, i also discovered how short 1 hour is when you are talking about animation. I will continue to do panels, and i have a chance to be the best panelist in Animenext because my presentation is stronger than most. When i make this a tradition, my panels will surely draw crowds, and i can make use of my natural teaching ability.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Fun story for me the first time panelist... 4 guys were sitting up there with staff shirts on them when i entered. They kept chatting about ppl getting drunk and crazy over at the con with listeners. I was getting nervous because they are cutting into my presentation time. Finally another staff came in next to me so i thought "this must be the staff that's supposed to help me set up." And told him I was the next panelist.
He ran to the front and told the 4 guys, they all rushed down to tell me that they were ALL staffs filling in for the previous panelist, who didn't show up. And the 4 guys scrambled in and helped me to set up my presentation. (after about 5-6 min of struggle it's working.) XD
Fun. Next time if i see staff i will steal more time for myself.
Uhohs: Now i don't think i have enough things to sell at Otakon 09, and i am leaving country in 6 days, uh ohhhhhh. O_Obbb
otakon and animenext both approved my panel. I will be preparing for them.
Good thing the folders are so organized... it's pretty easy to prepare. :P
hostel at JP we are staying at
http://www.toukaisou.com/
This is the hostel i will be staying at when i go to Japan.
No new books for now...
I got my books from ka-blam today, the paper quality wasn't what I expected, my pencil pages and ink looks really light on it compare to lulu's artbook quality.
But most importantly I got to see my layout is not working with the book very well.
So I have to redo them.
Gotta pay for my experience, though this is cheaper than taking a class.
Yep...
I am not making it to animenext this year. For sure. I will sell my old prints and my old books, and cosplay, do portraits, that's about it. Not proud of myself this year (book printing wise)
At least I will get to meet friends. :D
