But I am ok with this, I want nothing short of "Wow, awesome" from other people as well. I'm glad I have professors who would treat me like an adult to work from.
I don't like it when some professors treat me like a kid. XP

Realistic animation is much harder to make. I need to get the timing for those down.

Thesis

With all of the lines recorded and in place... the whole thing is 236 seconds so far, that's about 3 min almost 4 mins, I am still debating whether Jeremy should fight with Lead, that would be the ONLY action sequence in the whole thing..... but it might lengthen this already pretty long/high quality animation that I need to do...

I am leaning to adding it in, but i still need the right idea. *This feels like One Piece's author trying to do a short on his long long story without giving too much spoiler...*

I have begun timing my animating and recording my own voice to make the early stage of animatics for my thesis film. (cuz its a long one)

I can't believe it, I am almost all choked up and crying at my own voice performance when it's matched up with the graphic.... (where I was so embarrassed and laughing previously...) The timing and pacing, and the right graphic really does magic.

*However, after listening to myself for over 20th times... all emotions fade away and it started to feel long and draggy.... OTL I hope my audience won't feel the same about it as I do right now.*

Declare my right hand a drawing hand

After completing this picture only with my right hand (I am left handed) I can now officially declare my right hand as a drawing hand, except I have a title: "Slow hand" for it. lol~ My left is still the fast one.

Right hand can't ink nor animate yet, inking is the next goal... eventually also animating. Right now all it can do is pencil and illustration.

This says something about the process of the various art form, illustration allows for slow speed and less steady hands, inking needs a steady hand and needs a slightly faster speed, and animation needs a fast hand.

W00t! I did it! It feels so monumental!


Dan: "Are you preparing for when your left hand gets cut off?"

Me: "I don't need my left hand to be cut off before I need my right! Carpal tunnel syndrome ! Heard of it?"


The reason behind this is... one time I drew too much and my left starts crying in pain on me for 2-3 days, one time I animated too much (during second year) and my left felt very sore for 1 week.

If I can switch hands just like that when my dominate hand feels tired, the burden will be shared and I might be able to avoid the common professional health problem in my career.

I have been training more seriously since freshmen year, it's paying off in my third year.

自從左手工作過度快要罷工以後, 我就開始練右手, 雙手都能畫就比較能夠避免一些職業病的問題.
右手現在還不能上墨線, 也還不能畫動畫, 上墨線是下個目標~:)

Recruited

After proposing to trade ads with: http://www.palaceinthesky.com/top-sci-fi-webcomics.php

I was recruited immediately into their artistic team to produce their running webcomic, Lady Star, and more projects on sci-fic the director seems to want me to take part in.

More impressively, they can manage to pay me by hour rate. (though for comics I really prefer page rate, I will talk to Scott about it) So for now I am their next inker on the line up.

Appealingly, their magic is working(?) the ads on Edepth's page suddenly boosted up to 7 cents, where it was at 3 cents before steadily.

Scott you are a smart man, I am honored to work with you. lol~
